Free schema markup checker

Check the JSON-LD on any page, or paste code before you ship it. We parse every block, flatten @graph, and check each item against the properties search engines expect for its type.

What it checks

  • Whether every JSON-LD block parses as valid JSON.
  • Required and recommended properties for Article, BlogPosting, Organization, WebSite, Person, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, Product, LocalBusiness, SoftwareApplication, HowTo, Event, Recipe, VideoObject and Review.
  • Valid ISO 8601 dates in datePublished and dateModified.
  • Every FAQ question has its text and an accepted answer.
  • Articles credited to an Organization instead of a named Person.

Schema doesn't make a page rank on its own. It makes the page unambiguous: who published it, who wrote it, when it last changed, and what kind of thing it describes. That clarity is what rich results depend on, and it gives AI systems facts they don't have to guess.

This checker and Google's Rich Results Test

Google's Rich Results Test tells you whether a page qualifies for Google's own rich result features. This checker is broader and stricter about trust signals, like named authors and honest dates, that matter beyond Google. Use both.
